Motoko, having returned from her retreat in the mountains, confronts Keitaro believing him to be a stalker. She can't believe that the apartments now have a male manager, and she objects strongly to this development. However, after an uncomfortable feeling which she fears might be love but which actually turns out to be just a fever, she grudgingly comes to accept him.
