Akiko Taichi is a Japanese high school junior (Grade 7) who only appears in the Love Hina anime series.

Friendly, optimistic and somewhat trusting, Akiko became Shinobu Maehara's first school friend after the latter managed to gather enough courage to socialize with her classmates due to Keitaro Urashima's influence.

Appearance

She tends to be easily talked into doing stupid things, and sometimes does foolish things. However, she is a good friend to those she is close to.

Anime

She meets Shinobu Maehara in episode 2, and reappears again in episode 13, the Christmas special and Spring Special. Her other best friend is Kaolla Su.
