#9: The Case of the Missing Hinata Apartment Money: A Mystery
When the tenant's monthly rent disappears from Keitaro's room; Mitsune and Kaolla embark to solve the mystery. Meanwhile, Naru is also searching for something but doesn't want anyone to know about it. After her attempts to hide what she is searching for temporarily casts her in suspicion, the "detectives" eliminate her as a suspect and question their way through the other Hinata House residents, re-enacting the morning's events as they do so.
Having not found the money, the group take a break for lunch, whereupon Haruka reveals that she found the envelope for the rent money but when it was opened it was revealed that there was only paper inside.
Returning to the mystery, Kaolla accuses Tama of eating the money but as the group lean in to catch the turtle, Naru catches sight of a piece of paper on its shell, snatches the turtle away from them and runs away.
Thinking that she was the thief, Keitaro runs away with her; with the rest of the residents giving pursuit. After they were chased throughout the complex, the pair was cornered at the hotsprings at which point Haruka confronts Mitsune; having deduced that she was the culprit.
After Mitsune admits she had taken the money out of boredom and had hidden it in Keitaro's pocket, Naru returns to her room with the item she was searching for; the print club photo of herself and Keitaro from Kyoto.
